YCC2017 – Youth Ministry & Parents

If you haven’t seen it, you might be interested in a talk I gave at YCC 2017.

I’m addressing a conference full of Youth Ministry and Camp Workers, on the topic of how we approach parents — what’s gone wrong with some of our Orthodox parents, how we might be part of the problem, and how we might look at fixing it.

  1. I love your books and I want to get the Blueprints for the little church: Creating an Orthodox Home. How are you doing and you know I moved to Florida, and I live in Navarre, FL right next to Fort Walton Beach or Pensacola, or going down to Destin. I miss you all.
Have not gotten a chance to hear what you had to say.

Our lives are more complex then every before. You would think would all the technology and our lives would be easy and sane. In fact, we live in such insane world, and to be sane to live in insane world is not easy task. Furthermore, I just feel, many have so much on the plate and our lives are about just doing. What we forget the most is GOD and sometimes, it appears, when we need him and we go to him and when we are OK and we sort of leave him on the side. We do not mean too and just happens because our lives, have become more complex as we are now in digital era.

I feel, this is lesson to mankind, that no matter what age or how complex our lives get and we cannot forget GOD. He is not sky genie and he is our Father and we are his daughters and sons. That what makes life and life is challenge and without challenge and priorities and what is the most important thing in our lives. We are all on this earth to walk our journey and back home to our Christ our Lord.

    1. I know just what you mean. It is hard these days to know that we need God! Sits too easy to become distracted and numbed.
