Schedule for the 2022 Ancient Faith Women’s Retreat

We’re eagerly looking forward to welcoming our guests to the annual Ancient Faith Women’s Retreat. This year, it will be held in person on November 10-13 at the Antiochian Village Conference and Retreat Center in Bolivar, PA. You can learn more about our speakers and their sessions HERE. Below is the schedule for each day of the retreat. Unless otherwise noted, all sessions and events occur in the Chestnut Auditorium.

Friday, November 11

9:30 AM               Session 1. Brandi Wills Schreiber: Cultivating Devotion to the Theotokos

11:00 AM             Session 2A. Elina Pelikan: Creating a Glass Icon of the Theotokos (Group 1)

11:00 AM             Free time. Confession available in Sts. Peter and Paul Chapel.

12:00 PM             Lunch

1:30 PM               Session 2B. Elina Pelikan: Creating a Glass Icon of the Theotokos (Group 2)

3:00 PM               Free time. Confession available in Sts. Peter and Paul Chapel.

3:15 PM               Walk with Barli, stretch with Mardi (Walk meets at front desk, stretching in Mtg Rm 1)

4:00 PM               Service of Supplication to Saint Raphael Hawaweeny (At the grave, weather permitting)

1:30 PM               Session 4. Kassiane: The Theotokos, Our First Missionary

3:00 PM               Session 2C. Elina Pelikan: Creating a Glass Icon of the Theotokos (Group 3)

3:00 PM               Free time. Confession available in Sts. Peter and Paul Chapel.

Melinda Johnson is an Orthodox Christian, wife, mama, writer, and the author of Letters to Saint Lydia (AFP 2010) and the Sam and Saucer books (AFP), among others. Melinda has a Master’s in English Literature because she loved taking literature classes so much she couldn’t stop doing it. When she is not seeing “heaven in a wildflower,” Melinda enjoys writing for children, walking and talking, and baking bread.
